There is hope in everything.
Every little thing, and even though it can be hard to find sometimes, it's there. See that giant oak tree? It used to be a meek little sapling that barely survived a particularly harsh winter. Even if you are going through a harsh winter of your own, remember that if you hang in there, something will have to give. You just have to be patient, and wait it out. Good things come with time!
Find hope in love. Even if your family and friends are a little misguided, they still love you unconditionally, and even when you don't like what you see in the mirror- smile! You're beautiful, inside and out, no matter what society's standards are trying to tell you. Nobody else is allowed to tell you otherwise. Don't listen to those jerks who think they're better than everyone else, 'cause I promise- that they think that's true in the first place makes them worse by miles.
Music has always been one of my best friends. Lose yourself to the chords, the lyrics, the beat. If you're an artist, sketch out something to vent. If you're a writer, start a journal or blog (teehee). Write a short story, or some poetry. Stuff like that'll keep the shadows at bay, at least for a little while even if they aren't permanent solutions! Grit your teeth and bear it, and think on the bright side.
Alright, I'm out. I already sound hugely cheesy.
xoxo!
P.S. Love you Jenn! Keep your chin up, darlin'. ♥
